CorCinch-FMR Study [NCT02806570]

- To evaluate the safety and performance of the AccuCinch System and assess the indices of heart failure and functional mitral regurgitation - The AccuCinch implant decreases the circumference of the posterior free wall of the dilated left ventricle which has three primary mechanistic effects: 1) it reduces LV wall stress as a result of reducing the LV radius, 2) it realigns the papillary muscles to reduce mitral valve tenting, and 3) it reduces the mitral valve annulus. These latter two mitral valve morphological changes act to reduce mitral regurgitation and the subsequent preload on the ventricle at the end of diastole - Non-randomized - Ancora Heart, Inc.
